Bring the Sunshine in with Indoor Lighting
Even though it sounds obvious, indoor lighting is absolutely necessary in every home because
at night how can you function without it. The moon only really does a good job when it’s a
full moon even then it’s pretty difficult to read a book. Even in medieval times, the knights
and their ladies used to have burning torches lit in their castles at night. It is not a new
phenomenon. Indoor lighting is a must.
Indoor lighting is the most essential item in your house no matter where in the world you live
in. Air conditioning or central heating? You can definitely live without it. Lighting’s purpose
is for you to be able to continue your day as it was, even after dusk. To walk around your house
without bumping into tables or falling over. It seems a simple proposition but have you tried to
bring the sunshine into your house. It sounds so easy when put like that.
Literally, bringing the sunshine in would mean filling your house with many, many intense halogen
lights. As well as hurting your eyes in the long run, it is too invasive. You need something more
subtle. Indoor lighting gives you a much dimmer light as your eyes are winding down for the day.
Your body’s circadian rhythms recognizes the cycle of night and day and to be subject to strong
lighting at night will confuse your body, disrupt your sleep pattern, make you stressed and
invariably make you grumpy.
Picking suitable lighting for inside the home is as simple as that. Choose something not too
bright and that serves the correct function and you have a winner. The style and type is then
completely up to you.
